RE: What pc or console game are you playing now? - Globetrotter - 04-22-2011 09:03 AM After playing it on and off since Sept 08(!), I've beaten Oblivion and it's two expansion packs! Hopefully by the time Skyrim comes out, I'll have a PS3 or a PC that can actually run it.
RE: What pc or console game are you playing now? - Harold-L - 04-26-2011 08:43 PM ^You just finished it, and I just started. ![]() I've been dying to play Oblivion since the day it was released, but I've never had a computer capable of doing so. I do now though, so yay! ![]() Those kinds of games and school work don't go well together though. ![]() ![]() "I'll just play 5 minutes more, just 5 minutes!" *an hour later* "Ohhh 10 minutes more won't hurt" *yet another hour later* "5 more!"
RE: What pc or console game are you playing now? - Slaka - 04-27-2011 02:22 PM school and games do NOT go well together. a few semesters ago I was taking chemistry and managed to have a 4.0 for the WHOLE class but two weeks before the semester was over I got a Wii and my grade ended up being a 3.0. lol. I haven't touched morrowind in forever. Don't own it but I should look into see if my computer can play it (use to play on brothers computer). I've been playing an old playstation game ms. pac-man maze madness. lol. I like pac-man what can I say RE: What pc or console game are you playing now? - Globetrotter - 05-02-2011 08:58 AM ^ How are you finding Oblivion Harold? Beaten it yet? ![]() Once I'd gotten out of the jail, I remember being taken back by the scenery. The night time skies in the Shivering Isles (once you get round to it), are particularly beautiful. ^ Ms Pac Man Maze Maddness? I remember that game! Sadly I only ever got round to playing the demo of the first level - at the time, it wasn't an easy game to get hold of (in the UK anyway). With Ms Pac-Man's groovy first level theme tune, I think I'm going to revive an old thread... RE: What pc or console game are you playing now? - Duke - 05-02-2011 02:49 PM I recently finished Portal 2 and continue to dump countless hours into Armed Assault 2 Combined Operations as I'm creating a Custom Multi-Player Mission. RE: What pc or console game are you playing now? - Harold-L - 05-02-2011 11:58 PM Quote:^ How are you finding Oblivion Harold? Beaten it yet? WinkYeah, of course I beat it already. ![]() I'll probably take ages to beat it, seeing as I don't really focus much on the main quest. I prefer the side-quests and to simply explore the landscape on my own. ![]() I don't think I've been to the Shivering Isles yet, but the scenery is one of the main reasons why I love these games. I hardly ever use the fast-travel system since it ruins the entire experience for me. It might take me 30 minutes, but I'll get from point A to B on horseback just to be able to explore the landscape and view the scenery. ![]() What skills did you focus on Globe? Are you the mage-type or more so a warrior-type? I always intend to become a mage/alchemist but I never do; I always end up focusing on sword combat and athletic skills. I feel as if I miss out on a big part of the game this way though.
RE: What pc or console game are you playing now? - Globetrotter - 05-04-2011 09:53 AM ^ Sounds as if you play the game in a similar style to me. When it comes to RPGs, I can never decide whether I want to be a mage or a warrior, so I usually end going for something inbetween e.g. a cleric type character. In terms of Oblivion, I recall devising my own Nordic custom class, which if I remember correctly, focused on the skills of blade, destruction and restoration. During the game, I would say that I ended up using my sword about 65% of the time, and my magic 35%. RE: What pc or console game are you playing now? - Harold-L - 05-05-2011 05:32 AM I guess that's kind of similar to me, although I use magic a bit less. I just don't have the patience to improve those skills. ![]() And darn it! I told myself that I wouldn't become a vampire on Oblivion, since I accidentally became one on Morrowind and was never able to find cure for it. ...I am now a vampire on Oblivion too, of course. ![]() Why not call the disease vampirism something? Why poryphomic hemo...whatever? I didn't even know I had been fighting a vampire.
RE: What pc or console game are you playing now? - Slaka - 05-06-2011 03:30 PM Ouch on being a vampire! Good luck on the cure! *fingers crossed* RE: What pc or console game are you playing now? - Snooks - 05-06-2011 03:54 PM Quote:And darn it! I told myself that I wouldn't become a vampire on Oblivion, since I accidentally became one on Morrowind and was never able to find cure for it. That would be a pain in the neck
RE: What pc or console game are you playing now? - Harold-L - 05-07-2011 07:31 AM ![]() ![]() Harr-harr-harr RE: What pc or console game are you playing now? - Globetrotter - 05-09-2011 09:55 AM Cake Mania 2 I love my time management games...
RE: What pc or console game are you playing now? - Harold-L - 05-20-2011 03:14 AM Has anyone here played Fallout 3? I'm going to give that game a try.
RE: What pc or console game are you playing now? - Harold-L - 05-22-2011 07:21 PM If possible, Fallout 3 is even more addictive than Oblivion. ![]() The basic idea behind the games is the same, and they do feel very similar from time to time. You move from town to town, trade stuff you find along the way, do your quests, and so on. So it's oblivion set in a post-apocalyptic future. ![]() I'm hooked. ![]() The only thing I miss are the horses. Couldn't they have exchanged them for bikes or something?
RE: What pc or console game are you playing now? - Duke - 05-23-2011 02:38 AM Right now I'm playing the Witcher 2 and once that's done I'll see if I can actually finish Assassins Creed II. |
