Anxiety and dental phobic
Hi I am new to this site its great and am hoping that I will be helped . In two weeks from now I will be in a dental chair, seeing a special needs dentist as I cant cope seeing anyone else. I am really dreading this as I fear that all my teeth will have to be taken out. I have had a dental fear since childhood. Its no good people saying snap out of this and pull yourself together this will not work. I am on beta blockers. It annoys me that so many dentists are private and money grabbing.I suffer dfrom gag reflex as well and fear of loosing control altogether. Any advice ? We are going to have a mini break in weymouth so this we hope will help with calming me down a little. I cant sleep properly at night and just feel so exhausted in the day. I am also peri-menopause as well Regards Amandah

Re: Anxiety and dental phobic
Hi again Amandah,
Its great that you have been able to find someone that can treat you and im sure being a special needs dental centre you will be in great hands. Please let us know how it all goes and were all wishing you the best. I know what you mean about dental costs because im now living in Moscow and private dental costs here are unbelievable. It doesnt help having to pay crazy money for something you dread. I hope you have a great time in Weymouth, I was there many years ago for a work conference and didnt have as much time to explore as I would of liked but from what I saw it was very nice, when the sun shines that is ![]() |
