Re: Appointments
I don't have a dental phobia but I have an appointment coming up that I'm pretty anxious about.

I'm having my Wisdom Teeth Extracted. All 4 will be done at the same time and all 4 are impacted (still under the gum).

If anyone here's had there wisdom teeth extracted in hospital (not through a dental clinic), I have a few questions.

Re: Appointments
In a couple of months I have an appointment with the dentist. The last time I saw the dentist was last year. I had my teeth cleaned, but then during my last appointment I learned that I will need to go four times to have my teeth done. Well it's only three times, but next time the dentist is going to freeze my teeth, but when I saw them last I did mention to the dentist that I have always had a phobia of going to the dentist. Infact there was a time that I didn't go to the dentist for years. It wasn't until I began getting a bad toothache that I finally had to go.

Re: Appointments
Hi Ana,

I had my wisdom teeth out when I was younger and a total of 17 and the secondary teeth came in. I was in the hospital over night. Lots of ice cream and pudding for a while.
But now in my 40's I still have phobia to dentists. I need my front tooth fixed big time and my upper right tooth which right now is broken down to the gum and slightly painful cause I was eating something the other day and it hit it. But I just dont seem to call for an appointment which is dump cause these are the only teeth I have and I have seen others with dentures and I dont want them.. Give me strength that one day I just do what I need to do.
As for you if you need any questions answered I can do my best to answer but talking to your dentist helps to ensure less worry cause they are professionals and can answer them to make you feel more comfortable
Good Luck !!!

You've already got the strength to handle it Kitty, it's just that your fear's winning right now.

I hope you're able to overcome your fears and get in to the dentist soon though. I can't imagine how big of a pain it'd be to have trouble eating due to bad teeth. I'd offer some advice, but I really haven't got any when it comes to stuff like this.

Thanks again for the post though. shappy I appreciate it.
