I think i have ocd. I have "unwanted thoughts" about being a girl. i think i am sick. Things trigger the thoughts like nail polish, and dresses etc. I need help i am disappointed in my self. And how do i get my parents to buy me medicine? i am 12 years old if you want to "prescribe" something.

I just thought I'd say that having unwanted thoughts about being a girl isn't necessarily OCD. You're still young. As you grow up, you 'find yourself; you become an individual. Part of becoming that individual is becoming secure with your gender and sexuality. Some people seem to have little to no trouble with this, while others struggle through it.

Could you maybe describe your unwanted thoughts? Like, do you have an interest in things that are deemed as feminine? Do you wish you could dress in female clothing? Do you wish you could wear makeup? Anything like that?

Or is it just a fear that you may want to be a girl? If that makes any sense.

If you could just write a bit more detailed of an explanation of your situation, it might help us to give you a bit of support.

Never be disappointed in yourself over unwanted thoughts like this. If you truly wish to be a girl, there's nothing wrong with that. If you truly have OCD, and this is just an obsession, there's nothing wrong with that either.

No one here can prescribe you anything. No over the counter medicine will help with OCD or any other mental health issue. Your best bet is to talk to your parents and go see a counselor or anything of those sorts.

You are so young, and i did not thought that this is OCD, this is just an craze for some of the things, may be you come to know about all these from your elder one, so you wants to do all that, nothing else you don't worry and try to divert your mind.

And if you really think that you have some kind of thoughts for unwanted things, so just go straight forward to your parents and talk to them, no one helps you better then them, and no need to take medicine without prior examine from counselor or doctor.
