downhill spiral 3months now
Hi everyone last 3months or more have been hell, I have stopped going to places, driving etc..I get really lightheaded, dizzy too, i am not sure if it's depression or not, I avoid the shower because dizzy. I just have no motivation at all, My BP is high all the time, then briefly low, can anxiety cause high BP?? or Depression. All i feel is stress or anxeity, its horrible, Friend is going through a break up, and is going to be commited in psych ward, my r/ship i have issues with too. I"ve had lots of dental work done, and had to face that horrific phobia, no choice though. My sleep is awful, moods too, and well i just don't know where to begin. I got given Atenonol BP med, took 1 dose then hated it, med phobia, i just feel something else is causing me to be stressed out which in turn is raising my bP., i dont want to take BP meds, i was fine 5months ago.. well kind of fine.. why have i gotten so bad??...... My car sits there outside , battery dead from not driving it...i just dont want to think anymore about anything. I'ts overwhelming..people round me i wish i had someone who could just take control for a while, mostly i am damn sick of the dizziness Sad((( help..A mess

Hey yawho, it's good to hear from you again Wave

Well I'm sorry to hear about what you've been going through lately.
My advice is to get some good night sleep, it helps a lot with loosing the anxiety a bit, if you're not able to find some sleep, talk to you're doctor about it and maybe he would give you some sleeping pills that you can take for a limited time of course. As for the high bp, it's important to take meds, it can be a very serious matter though.
Anxiety can cause high blood pressure but it just lasts a very short period of time, so it's not chronic, which means that you have to get help for you're blood pressure.
Entertain yourself as much as you can, and talk to people, talking helps a lot as you can get the pressure and anxiety out, you'll feel a lot better! And if you feel like you can't get out of the house, let someone get you whatever you need from outside so you can always feel relaxed and comfortable.
And even if you were fine 5 months ago, everything changes in a second, and your health is something not to mess around with, and the bp problem can get even more serious and more dangerous, so it's better if you do your tests and take meds. And for me it sounds like depression, if you stay home all day long, and feel dizzy with no motivation at all to do anything, and of course something happened that have put you in such a mood, do you know what it is?

We're looking forward to hear from you yawho!

That's excellent advice nour, learning to sleep well is a start, it can turn into a downwrad spiral, I called it a vicious cirlce, but I learned to make a virtuous circle out of my anxiety. I still worry about my health, people do get ill badly, but it's mostly about rational thinking, if you worry about one health problem too much that may never happen, you may ignore a real other health problem.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life
