I chose Yes!!.
I'm really afraid of elevators. Probably because of my fear of hights.
When in the elevator I tend to hold my breath and hold on to the railings on the wall. All I can think of is how high it goes up and how it's only being held up by a 'metal wire'.

Sorry to hear that that happend to you when you were little. I get so scared when I see little children playing around near and in the elevator because I'm always afraid of things like that.
I'm glad to hear your not afraid of them anymore though.

I can't realy give an answer for this.
I used to be very scrared of lifts but then I had a job where using one was a necessary and regular thing so now I'm fine with them.

But please don't ask me about escelators. Just can't

Well, I'm glad your not afraid of elevators but sad to hear your afraid of excalators. I know many people who are afraid of both. It's a common fear.

Sometimes you push yourself to face your fears. I guess it can be a good thing or a bad thing.
You probably pushed yourself to go up the escalator. I know sometimes I push myself to face my fears but usualy end up panicing or screaming and running.

I'm afraid of lifts, not because of the heights but because it's an enclosed space so it's more of a claustrophobic fear.

I'm not afraid of escalators cause I've been using them almost every day since early childhood. Metro is a very popular type of transport in Moscow.

I also have trouble with small, enclosed places. Both my Mother and I are clostrophobic.
I don't think that has anything to do with my fear of elevators. It's just about my fear of heights.

It's so interesting how people can have different phobias aboujt the same things. For example, I would feel better in a glass elevator cause then it wouldn't look as enclosed lol but I bet for you it would have been even worse cause you would be able to see how high it goes etc.

 I'd pass out in a glass elevator.
Yeah, there's alot more to phobias than people realise. Most of them stem off to another phobia depending on the person.
I must say that I've learnt alot about phobias since joining this forum!
