Facial Tics...
Does anybody have this problem? sconfused

I think I do, I've had it since I was a kid but I never really thought much about it.
They pretty much come and go, like I'll get one tic and keep doing it for a few weeks and then it kind of fades away for a few weeks. Then I'll get another one and do that one for a few weeks sconfused
Right now I've got this whole excessive blinking thing going on, and it's really bugging me which is why I started to google the problem to see if "facial tics" really exist or if I was just being strange

Anyway I've got a few different ones, one being the excessive blinking one. Sometimes I feel like i have to make strange grimaces, sometimes I have to move my eyebrows...and yeah I've got a few more I think but you get the idea sconfused

So does anybody else have this? sconfused

I'd be a dog, a monkey or a bear, or anything but that vain animal, who is so proud of being rational.

Re: Facial Tics...
This sometimes happens to me Harold but I must admit it hasn't happened for a while now. I never really looked into it much to try and find a link to why it should happen but I know it's more common in boys than girls. Do you know what brings them on for you?

I don't really know what brings them on me...I always have them a bit but I get periods when they get quite annoying.
Does something trigger yours John? sconfused

I've tried putting some thought into it Harold and I think I used to get them when I was feeling especially nervous.

 Ok, sorry about that.

So...

I was thinking about this thread last night. shappy I get this... 'twitchy eye'. I don't get it often, but when I do... it just happens randomly and it only lasts a few minutes. It's always my right eye to. I'm not sure if it's a facial tic... or a muscle spasm.

Anyways, yeah. shappy

I don't think I've ever been in the "symptoms" thread before, so excuse the late post...
When I had to do oral presentations at school, I'd get a twitch on one side of my mouth; it looked like I was sneering every eighth of a second or so.   I think it also happened when I was younger whenever I got into trouble at school.

RE: Facial Tics...
Facial tics aren't something that I generally suffer from, although I do remember one occasion from years ago.

Months into my first paid job, I forced myself to go back and visit the place where I'd been doing voluntary work only a few months earlier.

Due to my social anxiety, I was extrememly nervous at 'popping my head round the corner' to see how everyone was going.

At the end of the visit, as the place was being locked up for the day and I was saying goodbye, the one side of my mouth was constantly twitching.

On the lady I was talking to noticing, she immediately looked away (which most certainly helped to make me feel bad about the whole episode).

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. Dr Seuss
