Fear Of Flying
Hi there.
I have a big fear of flying. The last time I was on a plane was last summer when I was going to Portugal which was 3 hours. I was freaking out that someone would happen. I can barely handle going to the UK which is an hour confused1 However, next March I am going to New York. 7 hours on a plane .. scry Any suggestions on how I can calm myself down.... Thanks |

Re: Fear Of Flying
Hello, I just wanted to say I am familiar with the fear of flying, but in my case it is actually more
about being in the air than a fear of calamities. You must be proud: you actually DO fly, which means you can - freaked out as you may be - conquer your problems. I never get on a plane without a sedative and a pill against eventual flight-sickness. I would suggest you go on doing what you do, but if you feel you need a Valium, there is nothing wrong in taking it. There is no need to torture oneself when medication can be of help - in a harmless way. All the same, I hope you get by without anything else than the strength you actually have. Good luck & best regards! DV |
