Fear of good things ending and loosing others
Hi,
I have this fear that good things will end.
Like, whenever some joyful even comes in my life, like I having a real good time with my family.
I start to worry about the end, and how I would feel at the end.
Like "this too will end" and then everything will be as it used to be.

Or if someone really interesting is visiting us, I would really start fearing that he/she will eventually leave and I will be back to the old me.

These fears have stopped me from really enjoying everything in life and I would like to know if there are certain terms for them?

And how to coupe with them?

Apologies if this is the wrong forum, I'm new here and would really appreciate your directions.

Welcome to oFear, HH!Smile My heart really goes out to you because I've felt that SO much in my childhood due to the heavy drinking that was going on there with my beloved Dad! The anxiety was so intense as the years went by, that I, too, felt as you do that I could never count on anything good because I always knew it would turn bad, and it seemed to prove me right. It wasn't until I realized as I grew up that I had to always be a step ahead of the game and do what I could do for my own happiness to claim peace in my life as well! I started to explore things that made me happy, that I could count on, like getting lost in my beloved Art, Reading, or walking in Nature. The only thing, IMHO, is to do what we need to do for ourselves, things we know that only we can count on that don't include others or the sadness of events that occur through family trauma of some sort. If you could always turn to something to do that you absolutely love to do, therein will lie your healing and peace. Wishing you the Best from LubaSmile

Great Advice Luba, I totally agree that doing things and indulging positive activities that make you happy and avoiding all negative and bad things and people that make you sad or uncomfortable is the best way to overcome your fears. This way you'll slowly get rid of your fear of losing good things.
