u know sounds strange but its more the scuttlin of a spider that scares me then the spider its self, though i cant stand the sight of a british house spider they look like a monster from a bygone age,i know they cant help lookin like they do and maybe we look scary 2 a spider but its not just spiders its anything with more then 4 legs that get 2 me,once i held a giant centipede and was fine with it until someone turned it upside down 2 show me its legs and they were wigglin ewwwwww i said take it off me quick, its like some ppl hate moths because of the flutterin wings

Re: fear of spiders
You have to think rationally, spiders (& bugs) aren't out to get you, they're just minding their own business. Most people get bothered by them, they're everywhere, but there is repellent spray for bugs to put on your clothes, in your car, house to keep them away. Have you tried that?
Today is the first day of the rest of my life |

Re: fear of spiders
I can laugh about it now, but the other night when I was in the bath I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I turned my head and a few cms away from it was the biggest house spider I have ever seen. About 10 cms long, it got me out of the bath very promptly!
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. Dr Seuss Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, 'I will try again tomorrow'. Mary Anne Radacher |

Re: fear of spiders
I'm arachnophobic. I had a VERY traumatic experience with a disgusting wolf spider about three years ago.
I had a friend sleeping over. The lights had just been turned off and I was laying down, when I looked up. I saw a dark spot about a foot from my head, on the wall. After it moved I decided it wasn't some wall decoration and turned on the light. There was a HUGE wolf spider crawling down towards where my head was. I ended up jumping out of bed, almost stepping on my friend, screaming, laughing and crying at the same time. I must've made a funny sight as I had sprinted across the room only to jump up and down, continueing my hysterics, but my friend was so scared something else (like an ax murderer was in the room) was happening she started crying. The noise got my grandmother to run into the room only to have me frantically pointing at the nasty hairy thing, now crawling onto my pillow where my face was just a minute beforehand. She ended up killing it but I did not sleep at all that night, sitting up staring at the wall with nothing touching me. For the next half a year I slept with my pillow about a foot or two away from the wall and the light on. |

Re: fear of spiders
I'm arachnophobic too!!! OMG I hate those hairy eight-legged monsters, no matter their size I hate them all. They are dangerous poisonous devils.
Well actually the size does matter, the bigger the scarier!!!! Whenever I see one I inmediately call my father for help, I just can't move when I see them. I get paralyzed. And if I move, I move far away and as fast as I can!!!! The story you told scared the hell out of me, I would have had a heart attack!! I wouldn't have been able to sleep after that either... |

I must have spider pheromones because they follow me wherever I go and they specially love my bedroom. I always find one in my bedroom, or more, I mean they can do their thing and I won't bug them but why they have to be in my way? Your post made me laugh though!  The way you say it it's funny hahahaha |
