fear of throwing up in public
Hi, in the first grade I threw up all over my desk and ever since then I have a fear of vomiting in front of people. As a child I was starred and pointed at when this happened. It was humiliating. I don't have a fear of germs or anything like that. It's just that every time I have an anxiety attack I automatically throw up. Worrying about throwing up causes me to have an anxiety attack and vise-versa. I've become kind of socially withdrawn lately because of this. Anyone share this fear or have any advice? I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

Re: fear of throwing up in public
Hi Ashley,
What was the cause of you being s**k over your desk in the first place if you don't mind me asking? Have you looked at the various tips for dealing with anxiety attacks on the forum because maybe using these could prevent you from being s**k. John |

Re: fear of throwing up in public
Hi! Thanks for the reply! =] I think I was just genuinely sick when I threw up all over my desk. I can't really remember though. I have tried many anxiety reducing tips, but none of them seem to work. It gets really intense sometimes to where I'm throwing up for a long period of time to try and reduce my anxiety. Anytime I feel anxiety coming on I automatically feel nauseated. Any advice? Do you think my problem lies more with social anxiety?
