Fears Relating To Cars
I have a few fears relating to traveling in cars.
Once in the car I always lock the door because I'm afraid that someone will try and hijack the car when we are at a stop sign/red light. I also hold onto the handle on the door most of the time because I'm always afraid of getting in a car accident and the car flipping.
Does anyone else have any fears relating to traveling/being in a car that they'd like to share?

It usually depends on the driver. If the driver is "crazy" (and we get lots of them in Moscow), then all I can think of is getting out of the car as soon as possible. But if the driver is alright then I'm not as worried Smile

I never thought of someone hijacking the car before though!

 My Mother's a crazy driver. I can't stand being in the car with her!
I just worry about the car being hijacked because I watch the news and the report on the city more than were I live. I live in a town and there's never anything like that happening here.
:? Sorry if I gave you something new to worry about (someone hijacking the car).

Nah it's ok, I don't think I've heard of that before so it probably doesn't happen here as often.

It must be crazy for you if your Mum is a crazy driver. My cousin is too and after I was in the car he was driving I decided to never do it again LOL.

Whenever my Mother offers me a ride some where I always say, "No it's ok I'll catch a cab." She doesn't understand why I'd rather get a cab then a ride from her.

Oh so you never told her about how you feel when she's driving? Maybe it would help dicussing it with her and asking her to drive a bit safer, at least when you are in the car? Maybe she just doesn't realise her driving is unsafe?

Well, other family members have told her she drives a little crazy but she just says they're too cautious. So, I don't really want to tell her and affend/anger her.

Re: Fears Relating To Cars
I haven't driven a car since 2001. I only feel OK in a car if my dad's driving because he's a safe driver, my brother drives a bit mad, it scares me a bit.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life
