Hemingway
Any Hemingway fans?
![]() I read A Farewell to Arms not long ago, it's the only Hemingway book I've read so far but I quite liked it. So, which book should I move on to? I suppose 'The Old Man and the Sea', since it seems to be his most famous work. Do you have a favourite? Any recommendations?

RE: Hemingway
I've heard of The Old Man and the Sea, but not read it. I might get it next time I'm in a book shop.

Quote:You've totally lost me now and I like to read? What's a Hemmingway? What's a hemingway eh? ![]() Ernest Hemingway. He was an American author. ![]() Quote:I've heard of The Old Man and the Sea, but not read it. I'll definitely buy it the next time I'm at the bookstore. ![]() I think The Old Man and the Sea just a novella though, so maybe you'd prefer to start with A Farewell to Arms or something a bit longer? RE: Hemingway
A novella is probably a great start, so I can see if I like his writing style and suchlike. Even if I don't, I'm more likely to finish the a novella than a full novel
