How Do Spiders Enter My Room?
Hi,

I'm an arachnophobic.

The hot months (in UK) are the months where the most spiders are in my room. I guess it's mating season or something.

I'm afraid of them...

Sooooo, today I have removed EVERYTHING from my room (old boxes with spiders webs around have been removed). I only have the carpet and computer desk left in there.

I have vacuum cleaned every part of the carpet, the walls, ceiling, and around the windows...

I just want to know: How do Spiders get into my room?

I have had many house spiders in my room. Ranging from small black ones, long legged 'skinny' white ones, to big black ones.... Because of the summer months and heat, I have found and killed 3 spiders over the past 3 days.

I have gone to this extreme measure of removing everything in my room, as I know they like to hide.
I NEVER open my bedroom windows, my door is often kept closed....

Please tell me how spiders can get into my room....? Is it worth buying one of those electronic repellents? Please advise me.

Thank you

I don't like spiders although im not arachnaphobic. I just splat them usually with a book (I don't want to touch the horrid little things). I am England and my flats the same. I splat them. Hoover up and don't worry about it. I know thats easier said then done. :-)

Although I think if your Arachnaphobic and you asked yourself "would you be checking all the time if you knew "where" they came from?" the answer whould be yes?

Probably best not to know. You can't "irradicate all spiders" I wish you could. I really do. However it would be like irradicating all ants - its just not possible.

However - safe in the knowledge in england theirs no poisonous ones.

Good Luck.

JustGary.

I would also love to know how they get into bedrooms. I redecorated mine last year and I didn't notice any cracks or holes in the walls. I always leave my door and window closed as well, so I don't know how they get in! Sad

Well I'm not arachnaphobic, but I don't like spiders! and i sometimes wonder how do spiders get into my room? (there's no gardens beside my house, and I live on the 2nd floor, and I keep everything closed!) It turns out that spiders sneak into my bag (in a picnic, at school, or whatever) and stay there till i get back home where they get out of my bag and start wandering in my room! So when you're out somewhere, keep your bags with you so the spiders won't get in! happy3

Also, if you have pets, that might very well be their ticket into your room. I know for a fact that my cat brings in all kinds of things into my room. She rolls around on the grass outside, then she goes in and lays down in my bed so yeah

I'd be a dog, a monkey or a bear, or anything but that vain animal, who is so proud of being rational.
