How has it affected you?
How have you been limited by a fear of heights? How many things have you been unable to do? How many times have you avoided things or been embarrassed by this condition?

I hate heights.
Even when I was a kid when we had bunk beds. I hated sleeping on the top but prefered it to feeling like I was in a coffin on the bottom bunk Smile
I will avoid climbing anything taller than me

I don't know if I've been limited by my fear of hights but I've certainly been laughed at.
When ever we drive over tall bridges I have to slump down in my seat so that I can't see out the window. I'm also afraid of mountains/large hills. I'm not sure why, but I am.

I hate my bunk beds. I've rolled off them so many times because I get really bad nightmares. I also get pretty afraid when the bunk beds don't have safety bars on them.

I don't have this phobia, but being somewhere high makes me nervous, eg, looking over the top of a tall cliff (even if there is a thick, high metal railing)

I hate cliff edges too but I think that comes from when I was a kid I lived on the coast and my parents and grandparents took me for walks along the cliffs. I always think I'm going to slip or the ground is going to give way or something!!!

I know lots of people that are scared of any ride in an amusement park. Once i went to disneyland and one person had to just watch because they were so scared. It must be very difficult when friends love them and want you to join them.

I hate going to amusement parks with friends. They try so hard to get me on the rides and I just end up crying because I'm so afraid. I'd die if I ever got on one!

Lol. I know what you mean!
I'm 5'3 maybe 5'4, but then again I'm only 16. I don't really want to be too much taller.
I enjoy my shortness! Tongue

I think its probably best just to stay away from amusement parks because people always try to get you to go on a ride if they know you are scared. I know it sound pretty cruel but im sure its true. I actually get a kick out of being scared on a ride which I know is weird lol!!!

Yeah I loved the smell of the onions cooking by the hotdog and hamburger stalls Smile See there is always something good that comes of having a phobia, they go on the ride while you stand there eating candy floss
