Hi,
at 46 (Dec. 5) guess I'm the 'old man'or, at least I seem to be. My name's Dave, I'm fromCT, but I live in Chandler AZ nice to meet you all. Since the forum seems to be 'phobia's' , and I was invited to check it out by someone else. I thought I'd ask the $1,000,000 question; namely, I'm Manic-Depressive, (I seem to be becoming slightly agoraphobic, since I've been locked away here in my 'Ivory tower' for awhile now lol, but, other than that, should I BE here? Just thought I'd ask.

The phobic and depressive part can stay but if you become manic you will have to leave. :laugh: Sorry, to answer your question read the posts at 47 I am sure you will be able to offer advice to the younger members and maybe pick up so tips yourself, so hopefully you will stay. =D Why do dogs bark? They are not barking, they are talking in dog. Obviously you don't understand the language. |

Hi my name is Nicky (32) and i live in Barnsley in the UK. I am a student mental Health Nurse and also an ex service user. I have had a 15 year (so far) history of depression and anxiety, and feel that I am well placed to understand what sufferers are going through. I have also worked in the home care setting, caring for elderly people within their owns homes, so have experience of schizophenia, dementia and Bi polar as well. I feel that in the UK we are very backward in our perception of people with Mental health problems, so I am glad that this site is here to give people an outlet to vent their fears and get the support they need. Good job!! x No regrets, I'll drink to that! |
