How will 10mg Valium make me feel ?

Are we talking about a single dose each time you go to the dentist?

Apart from the symptoms mentioned on the box or leaflet 10mg of diazepam (Valium) should help you to feel very relaxed However you might also experience some drowsiness and feel a bit light headed too so see if you can get someone to give you a lift home. The next day you might feel a bit disorientated at first so drink plenty of fluids.

If you are anxious and alert to begin with you should just become relaxed while in the chair, after you leave the dentist and your body relaxes more deeply you might sleep in the car or when you get home, but the idea is you stay awake while the dentist does their thing. ssmile

If you actually want to be put to sleep (anesthetised) you could as your dentist if they are willing to do that instead, but then you wont have the opotunity to fight you fears because you will be asleep.

Unless you have been told otherwise take the Valium about an hour before your appointment. Take it with water and avoid caffeinated drinks and grapefruit (applies to all benzodiazepine not just diazepam {Valium})

Ahhh Valium is the answer. Felt like i had too much to Drink !
Couldn't control my body & legs felt like heavy weights/

Appointment was 1 hour & only seemed like 10mins !

That is fantastic news Issy, thank you for letting us know. =D Just remember to drink plenty of fluids tonight and tomorrow unless you want the hangover to go with it. :lol:

Oh wow thats great news Issy You are so brave for going through with it and im so pleased you found something that helped you. I was thinking about you yesterday and wondering what state that valium had left you in hehe, now we know

Still feeling the effects of the Valium. Feels like i've had a heavy drinking session ! :?

But i got another appointment,in exactly 1 week time (30th) & am taking 10mg Valium again

Well maybe thats a good way of telling you to avoid alcohol in the future lol unless you like the feeling of course!!!

Are you feeling less anxious about your second appointment now you have the valium to take?

Yeah i am feeling less anxious. But no doubt on the day i'll be nervous again

Its natural to be nervous Issy but just keep remembering you have done it once and you will do it again.
