I'm also petrified of needles
Oops

Needles scare me ********. Sad

More accurately Dentist & Blood Test Needles . :cry:

I don't see a Doctor incase i'll need a Blood Test. Massive panic symptoms overwhelm me & i have a massive panic attack

Dentist Needles, OMG they are horrific. I once saw this MASSIVE METAL NEEDLE,in the dental room. Which the dentist was gonna inject into me.
I freaked & ended up being restrained by 3 dental nurses Sad

So whenever there's a possibility of a needle , i avoid that situation for dear life.

Oh gods I hate needles, keep them away!

However, the one that got used on me for a vaccination (cant remember which one) wasn't that bad, the needle was tiny and it felt like being pinched. I was still nervous before it though.

I wish they was all like that Sad I am petrified too!!!

The doctor that will be coming online soon to answer questions might be able to help us Big Grin

Its a sad fact but the more people with needle phobia the better the chance of getting a specialist online to help us.

Those of you in this thread that don't appreciate being turned into human pin cushions are among friends. I completely relate to Issy about having massive panic attacks. I have fainted in doctors office lobbys while waiting for a checkup

Getting my blood pressure taken also works like a charm when it comes to sending me to immediate unplanned brunches with the sandman.

I also get antsy when filling out a job application, if I think they might make me go get a physical.

I've fainted so many times that I know that there is a feeling of intense euphoria immediately upon regaining consciousness, but that feeling is counteracted when embarassment sets in Smile

Maybe we can all help one another overcome this and to celebrate, we can all go get a tatto!!!{OK, LETS DONT PUSH IT!}

I'm allergic to needles :? the school nurse didn't believe me so injected me anyway - had a massive reaction and nearly ended up in hospital.

Teached the nurse to listen tho
