It was 2am and me and my girlfriend were running around like headless chickens trying to finish of the decorating of the bathroom as my parents arrive in about 5 hours. We had to move the washing machine out to lay the lino and the plumbing system in Russia is slightly different to Uk lets say and hey presto we have our own waterpark  It proved the bathroom can withstand water anyway Big Grin

Tuesday 8th January 2008

Everything is back to normal at home and feels very quiet and empty after having 5 people in a 2 room flat.

The New Year holiday went very well and my family enjoyed there time here visiting the many sites Moscow has to offer.

As my New Year resolution was to study more Russian I am now going to use this diary as a way to show my progress and use it as a studying aid also so watch this space Big Grin

Today I will be learning the seasons and terms relating to the weather. I will report back here once I have memorised all the terms and can write them in Russian.

Here are the words and phrases I have learnt to speak today.

I will now attempt to type the words and phrases out without any help from textbooks. They will have errors but once my teacher(girlfriend) checks it I will correct them. This is quite a challenge for me because up to now I have only been learning to speak but I have to learn it all so here goes Big Grin

какая сегодня погода?
Whats the weather like today?

сегодня тепло
Today its warm

сегодня жарко
Today its hot

сегодня холодно
Today its cold

сегодня идёт дождь
Today its raining

сегодня идёт снег
Today its snowing

(Break time) Big Grin
