My 'Get Back Into Those Jeans' Journey
I think the title says it all! I want to lose a few pounds so that I can fit back into my smallest jeans. I haven't been able to wear them in about 10 months and I'd really like to be able to fit in them again.
So, I'm going to start eating healthy and work out again. Right now my weight is a little more than I'd like it to be but I understand that some of that 'extra' weight is muscle weight.

So, basicaly I post my progress here. Lol. Anyone that wishes to join my journey can.

My signature has a ticker in it that says how much I want to lose.

Yes muscle is denser than fat so it weighs more, so if you exercise three days a week for at least half an hour and then do some walking or Pilate (Spelling?) on the days in between you will put on a bit of weight but your muscles will tighten up and you will be thinner, which I think is what you really want isn't it?

I will join in the exercise and healthy eating with you. I better not lose 14 lbs though or there will be nothing left of me.

Why do dogs bark?

They are not barking, they are talking in dog. Obviously you don't understand the language.

Well, I excercise atleast five days a week for 30-60 minutes. Then I do 20 minute pilates every once in a while. The pilates are hard because they make my stomach really sore.

I want to fit back into my jeans!!! That's what I want.
Lmao.

I'm not sure though if I'll get back into those jeans. I was awfully thin when I fit into them last.

Are you giving you body time to recover in between exercises? If you exercise hard for more than three days a week you will be causing more damage than good. So three days of say swimming, running or in the gym and two of light exercise to help clear the lactic acid from your muscles (the stuff that make them ache). Is pilates supposed to make you stomach sore? Perhaps you should look at yoga or tai chi chuan instead?

 I'm probably overdoing the exercise a bit.

Yeah, I was 15. Well, right now I'm 2 jean sizes off off those pants.
I'm sure that once I go down a few lbs I'll be able to fit in those jeans.

Ana,
I do wish you luck but me being me, I have to say be carefull.
14lbs is a lot to lose.
I have a problem with young women trying to drop weight. Be fit and healthy just for being fit and healthy.
If you lose weight along the way, great.

I know it's your choice and I respect that.

Apart from the pilates it sounds good  (I will have to look pilates up and see whate the exercises actually consist off.) Mmmm pizza... _cheesygrin:: Sorry what were we talking about? Oh yes remember what I said before keep you calories over 1000 per day or your metabolism will start to shut down causing problems for you later. Aim for around 1500 to 1700 per day but try not to go over 2000 per day. I.e. try not to binge use relaxation techniques instead or talk to me. Okay? _cheesygrin::

Yeah, I try to keep my calories between 1200-1500. Sometimes I go under, sometimes I go above. Yesterday was a bit of an off day so that's why it looks like I ate so little.
I wont binge. I'm throwing any junk food binge worthy out the window this morning!!!! :x

Lol, well I would be more concerned if you had lost 2 lbs over night by any other means.

1 lb a week would be good, then you will be ready for the new spring fashions. =D

Well, I tend to lose a bit more than 1 lb a week when I'm dieting/eating healthy. They say no more than 2 1/2 lbs but I usualy average 5 lbs the first week.
