Negative writing!
OK, so I did something stupid. If you look at a recent post of mine I advised someone to try not to use the word 'hate'. I believe that making a consious effort not to use such negative words with 'n't' on the end eg. 'can't', 'won't' will help you not to think negatively.

A couple of posts later I use the word 'hate'. Hypocrite or what. People probably use negative words without realising it, because they think negatively. If they make a real effort to avoid negative words, then they think positively without even realising it, that's what I think.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life

LOL... I hate when people act like hyprocites.

I'm just kidding... Alot of it is what state of mind you keep and that is a really good idea. I'll a few old cliche lines.

Practice what you preach.

Do as I say not as I do.

POW.

It takes conscious effort though not to think, talk & write negatively. I think if you do have anxiety/depression you tend to be negative about things, often without realising it.

Hate doesn't end in "n't" though...

Re: Negative writing!
ok... so I'm going to pick up on this and run it a little ....

Firstly. I can't recall the comedian who did the whole American "awesome" word over-usage thing - but essentially it showed how we'd diminished the word so badly to compare it to the quality of a hot dog that when Neil Armstrong described the view of Earth from the moon as "awesome", the president replied with "What? Awesome like a hot dog?"

Hate is a word that is so powerful its use needs to remain in context.

I agree with the comments on negative talk evokes negative feelings (and vice versa). Trying to avoid using them is as good as can be asked but is it practical to totally avoid them all the time tho?

I also note - how many people take up negatively sounding nicknames. I'm obviously not going to pick out any - but some of them seem to reflect just how people feel at their worst times and much less than who they are as a whole.

I think John should make a rule that everyone has happy names.
