New Meditation Guide Proves Mind Control Isn't So Farfetched

A remarkable new book from Swedish author Ingrid Fredriksson, Free from Dangerous Stress explains the ins and outs of meditation and yoga, setting readers on a path to manipulating their own brains for a maximum health effect.

Fredriksson's inclusive book offers a universal range of options - from Swedish TM to Christian meditation to ancient Indian dhyana - for positively affecting everything from mental and physical illness to the aging process.

In Free from Dangerous Stress, the author provides insight from her personal healing experiences with meditation and yoga, as well as those of experts such as Deepak Chopra, Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, and Stuart Wilde. She offers down-to-earth definitions for familiar but obscure terms such as chakra and qi, and describes newer, more unusual practices, such as "the programming of the mind" for subconscious effects during sleep.

Free from Dangerous Stress is ultimately a practical book for a modern day and age filled with stress and bereft of time. Practices some might consider to be exotic or difficult are incorporated into the practice of daily life and defined clearly, opening up the possibility of increased vitality and health to readers from all lifestyles and walks of life.

About the Author

Ingrid Fredriksson enjoys taking outdoor excursions into the beautiful landscape of western Sweden where she currently lives and writes. Free from Dangerous Stress is the end result of a personal exploration into meditation caused by an accident that temporarily prevented her from an exercise routine. Her four previous titles include Den som ar fri ar frisk, published by Axplock förlag in Sweden, Flow Forever, The Third Book and The Power of Thought which was published by Athena Press, London, UK. Fredriksson has studied environmental medicine and holds a Diploma of Public Health from the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm and The Nordic School of Public Health in Göteborg.

The thing is to stick at these things. It's hard to relax etc when your heart is beating ten to the dozen. Nothing happens all at once and it does take a while. I sometimes do my own relaxtion type stuff. It helps but it needs to be done on a regular basis.
I've spoken to so many people who expect themselves to be *cured* over night and don't keep going.

Meditation is a part of the bigger picture of hypnosis.

If you meditate you are using self-hypnosis.
