Im from lifesupporters.com, I saw this site listed on there as recommended and figured i should make my way over. (thanks Duke!)

I suffer from multiple mental health issues, which are all linked the main ones are Seperation Anxiety & Anxiety/Panic Attacks, I also suffer from Manic Depression, I believe in the US its more commonly referred to as Bipolar, please correct me if I am wrong. I have int he more recent years aquired OCD. which mainly includes opening and then shutting windows and doors as well as making sure the oven and stove are off throughout the night multiple times.

My depression dates back a long way Ive been a sufferer for 10 years now, and Ive had many ups and downs as well as self-harm, sucicide attempts as well as 2 nervous break downs which cost me my job on one occasion.

I have one phobia which is unrelated to the above, its Belonephobia, or more commonly refered to as Needle Phobia. I have one of the most serious cases of it most psychologists have ever seen, I have purposely thrown myself infront of a car, as well as jumped out a 5th floor hospital window in attempts to get away from a needle, neither of these ended very well for me, both times i ended back in hospital but with much more serious injuries. I also "died" one time when my heart went so fast it stopped and I had to be resucitated....as i said my case is a very severe one and its not something that can be cured with a simple "fix" such as distractions or numbing cream. I have to be gassed out cold to have anything needle like in the same room.

so thats pretty much the basics of my mental health issues, the list although long, like i said previously, is mainly interlinked as are most mental health issues for other people.

I hope ive found some like minded people here that can relate to some of the things i post as it can be difficult to discuss these things with "normal" people.

Hi and welcome to Ofear Smile

Well i certainly can relate and understand your phobia, however, thankfully i dont suffer from it. Many of the "normal" people dont understand how debilitating these phobias and issues can be.

Im terrified of hieghts and people say, "Just dont look down", or "dont be silly its only 3 foot", but that 3 foot stepladder may as well be 2 miles high to me Sad I can watch a film on TV and see a person abseiling on a mountain.....i shiver and shake and go giddy, just as if im right there besides them and on that mountainSad

How do needles affect you on TV? Are you able to watch an injection or something like that?

Looking forward to chatting with you some more Smile
