Not a phobia but...
I think I may have dyslexia, wonderful.
This is why I think I may have dyslexia. If I have to count a lot of similar things, I just can't do it. I lose count after about three. Example, I can't count how many '0's there are here "00000000000000000". It just sort of merges into a blog when I try to count and I lose the ability to distinguish between them.

I can't even begin to count how many zeros are there. I've also been tested for dyslexia and the test came up negative.

For me, my problems are a result of vision problems.

Have you had your eyes tested recently?

Yes, I am short sighted. Though my computer screen is a very short distance away from me, so that's no problem. The thing is, I can't even count the zeros even if I use my finger or the mouse pointer to record where I am, I still get confused.

Maybe this is a rather normal problem people have?

As for the dyslexia, do you have any other reasons to beleive that you are dyslexic? Like, writing some letters/numbers backwards?

From my experiences, most teachers are pretty aware of dyslexia and can notice some of the signs in the work students hand in. So, you'd think they'd notice a problem like that before now.

Well, my handwriting is abyssmal. In fact, it's been compared (by my teachers) to the handwriting of someone in my class who has been diagnosed with dyslexia.

Re: Not a phobia but...
I've wodered this about myself lately. My writing/spelling skills have always been of a high standard & I was in the top set in English throughout school. I have noticed that when I write I sometimes miss letters out or even mix letters up even though I know how to spell the word correctly in my head. I don't notice I have done it until I re-read what I have wrote.

I really don't know why I'm doing this as I've never had this problem before.

Ahh, that may be a common thing then. I've just never met anyone with that probelm before, so I assumed something must be wrong.
