RE: Rant about - Miscellaneous things
After extensively checking the main body of a job application email cover letter for spelling/ grammar, I sent it off.
Seconds after sending it off, I suddenly noticed a spelling mistake in the subject line of the email! ![]() Annoying to say the least!!

RE: Rant about - Miscellaneous things
Omg. Dumb dumb people.
At the shoe store today. Some kid was going in (12-14 ish) and his mom was buying him pink shoe laces. The check out lady says to the mom that they are cute and she explains that they are for her son. The check out lady basically asks if its a new fad or something because she knows nothing about the. The mom says that a bunch of guys in football are wearing pink shoe laces and such. None of them had any idea why. So the kid wanted pink shoe laces cuz the "football" stars had them yet had no idea why he was being a follower! Urgh. Things like that just annoy me. If you are going to follow something like that then know what it is your following! October is breast cancer awareness month. So they wear pink in support. Please if your going to "support" something know what it is!! ~Knowledge is the enemy of faith~

In the kid's defence, he was 12-14!
![]() Kids that age will do anything their heroes do. A lot of kids pick up smoking or drinking because others do it, and because it's oh so kewl. Pink shoelaces seem pretty innocent compared to that. I'd be a dog, a monkey or a bear, or anything but that vain animal, who is so proud of being rational.

RE: Rant about - Miscellaneous things
Well, at the same time when he wears those shoes into november I'm sure he will get made fun of for having pink laces. I mean I get where the kid was coming from cuz he is a kid. But still. I know when I was that age if I liked a fad I still wanted to know where it came from. Like with them jelly bracelets and such (then I realized what they stood for :/ )

RE: Rant about - Miscellaneous things
Ohhh when I was that age I was completely clueless (still am!). I don't really ask much from a 13-year-old. I don't expect them to know what they're doing, or why they're doing it.
![]() I get why it annoys you, but still, they're just shoelaces. They're easy enough to take off. What about all the people who get tattoos of Chinese symbols? Now that annoys me! ![]() Oh look at my oh-so-cool tattoo. It's my oh-so-original way of expressing myself! It means ...solitude... I think ...the tattooist said it means solitude! Tattooists don't lie.

Now that annoys me! OMG I KNOW!!! I hate that. UNLESS you come from Chinese heritage and can speak it. Actually the phrase I got tattooed on me is a popular latin phrase. so since I don't speak it I got it in the language I DO speak. Funny story--> guy got a 'i love donna' or whatever tattooed across his neck in Chinese and she is Chinese. (thought it was a rather understandable reason). BUT the tattoo artist put Donna is a W@%*#... She was not too happy. Hehe. I get being mad. But if its in a language you don't speak you think you would make sure of what your getting. ... ~Knowledge is the enemy of faith~

RE: Rant about - Miscellaneous things
In the past when sending an email for a job application form, I've always been sure to include my postal address, and each and every time, it hasn't turned out to be needed.
Guess what the potential employer wanted when I sent an email earlier on this week, for the first time ever not including my postal address?!

RE: Rant about - Miscellaneous things
^ I don’t think I’m destined to get this job somehow (Murphy’s Law sure seems to be playing it’s part here!).
With the deadline being this Monday, the application form was sent out to me by first class post on Wednesday. On Thursday it didn’t come, yesterday it didn’t come, and today it didn’t come either! ![]() Already starting to get anxious about the lack of time yesterday, I emailed the organisation asking whether they could send me one electronically. What did they reply? That they would leave me one to collect on their reception. ![]() So today after it didn’t come in the post, off I trotted up to this place to get it (which was a 30 minute walk). On coming home, what did I then notice? That though they’d provided me with an application form, that’d also in fact given me the wrong job description/ person specification (it was for another job they have going)! ![]() ![]() Starting to fill in the application form, I ended up using some rather ‘colourful’ language. Why? Because the application form is printed on glossy type paper, where, it’s practically impossible not to end up smudging ink at some point - something which I’ve ‘wonderfully’ managed to do numerous times, despite me being very careful. ![]() ![]() ![]() I give up!

RE: Rant about - Miscellaneous things
You really do get some sick people in this world.
Last week I read about one of the worst cases of animal cruelty I have ever come across - A person brings a kitten into a bedroom and places it onto a bed. Aware that there's a python behind the pillows, the kitten is wary. So that the python can strike, the person in question distracts the kitten, so that the inevitable can take place, where the kitten is crushed to death and then eaten. Throughout the video, there is a XMAS theme with decorations in the background and XMAS music playing, with the user promising more feeding videos for XMAS... Unfortunately, the same person now seems to have struck again, with a video of a kitten being tied to a broom and drowned in a bath. I just can't believe what drives people to do such acts. ^omg! thats horrible. Honestly those people should be locked up forever. Something is wrong with them. Or just kill them the way they think killing defenseless animals. I'd be alright with it.
I worked with animal rescue for a lot of years. Its HORRIBLE the things you come across. ALL THE TIME! If you don't like animals-fine don't get one. But no reason to ever abuse them. ~Knowledge is the enemy of faith~

Budget airlines in the UK which these days charge you extortionate amounts for the 'privilege' of possessing hold luggage.
![]() Since when has having hold luggage become an optional extra? What are people supposed to do while on holiday? Wear the same clothes for the entire duration?!

Quote:Wear the same clothes for the entire duration? Well you need at least 12 sets of underpants. You gotta have a pair for each month ![]() Airlines are a damn law unto themselves when it comes to baggage and also OVERbooking, then bumping people off if everyone turns up. Thats just so wrong

I hate Saturdays. Boring, unproductive and ...did I mention boring?
Come to think of it, I feel that way about all the days of the week. Maybe I just hate days.
