Money woes....
I'm feeling irritated this morning, and I need to get it out before I scream. My husband has been out of work since early August and it's been VERY difficult living/surviving on just my income. (The state has denied paying unemployment and the appeal hearing isn't until next week.) We've even parked one vehicle so we only have to worry about gas for our main car. So, when an opportunity for extra hours came up at work, I thought for certain I'd be first in line to get them. Oh no, two of my co-workers (who have spouses with jobs) decided they "called dibs" on the extra hours, so I'm stuck with nothing. I have seniority, but they felt the need to go behind my back and decide this on their own! Hello!!!! We had to pay for a little bit of groceries last week IN SPARE CHANGE!!! I'm eating $.17 noodles for lunch everyday. GRRRR!!! I'm pissed that I work with such selfish people!!!!!! Ok, feeling good now...

Kel

Re: Money woes....
I hate money, I shouldn't think about it too much, but I see some people with really flashy cars which guzzle petrol, boast how they're going to Barbados for 2 weeks in a 5-star hotel, & bragging about the new extension on their house. Yeah great, try living like someone who hasn't got any money for a few weeks.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life

Hi Kel Wave

I cannot comment on the money situation, but I will comiserate over back stabbing s**tty colleagues... Hanging is just too good for some of them. angryfire

Hmmm, I feel better too! 8)

Why do dogs bark?

They are not barking, they are talking in dog. Obviously you don't understand the language.

I'm right with ya. You should be able to depend on your work coming thru for you like it depends on you coming thru when they need it. Same for colleagues.
The workplace is a second home - or first for some - or one and the same for a few!
You can spend more time with your colleagues than with your family and at the end of the day there aren't many that go to work just for the social life. My workplace is mostly good. We cut slack both ways and those who give most get most.
I like it like that.
I don't do a lot of overtime but I've called on it a couple of times and colleagues have been great at seeing me get it - cos they know I won't interfere with their regular quota the rest of the time.

There's a thousand things I REALLY want, but I don't even have enough money to buy one of the thousand things I want. Sad

Things are too expensive nowadays!

why do bosses never seem to realise that when people ask for overtime they normally have a reason, and dont do it for the sheer hell of it. i need £500 just for courses/equipment, yet the boss is reluctant to give me any over time

bit calmer now lol

time for things to get sorted, may be if i do guys will stop finding me so repulsive

I thought that my driving instructor had missed my appointment which would have put me at risk of not completing my driving school course on time. stongue Turns out he did miss it (forgot about it) but I got it done anyways.
