first. i'd have a stroke and a half and then when i snapped out of it i'd pull the couch apart so i can beat the life out of it. but the webs they make is worse than the spider itself.

Re: Spider Phobia - what's your reaction?
I have a terrible fear of spiders. The kind of terrified where I won't even look at a picture of one!
Earlier on, I was leaning over the banisters to check up on a little fella that likes to lounge about on the door frame of my sister's bedroom each evening. My Dad can't catch it because it's incredibly crafty and has disappeared into the crack behind the door before you can even get a glass from the press. Anyway, I was looking to see if he had returned when I caught this monster of a spider out of the corner of my eye sitting on the stairs. I screamed and started bouncing around the room. Both my parents were downstairs and I didn't have my mobile on me so I just had to keep screaming until my Dad heard me. Thankfully there was someone around because I sure as hell wasn't going down those stairs!! But my Dad came to the rescue and out it went in the glass. I got such a shock that I burst into tears and couldn't stop panicking afterwards. It was just so huge and I wasn't expecting it. If that wasn't bad enough, another one scuttled across the sitting room floor while we were watching TV later! I hate this time of year so much, they're everywhere!!  I always get so panicky if I see one in the house. If I ever have any sort of encounter with one, I remain twitchy for hours. Even now, I'm still getting these sudden jolts where I think something has touched my arm or leg. I have to check my entire room top to bottom every night and lift the sheets off the bed to make sure there isn't a spider around. Urgh, I wish I was afraid of something I could avoid! :? |
