If I remember correctly, last time I went swimming was either 1999 or 2000 in Greece. I'm gonna swim again soon though as I'm having a nice vacation this year Big Grin

last time i swam willingly was october 2003. unwillingly, end of 2004. our PE teacher wouldn't take any excuses, short of a cast on your leg

What is it with teachers these days? Are they really that bad now?

ugh i know. i thought games teachers had always been like that. mind you, i was at a boarding school then, so they were all keen beans - weakness in any way suggested a lack of school loyalty!

i don't know about caused. i'd been pretty uncomfortable with swimming already, the whole swimming costume thing made me very self conscious, and going in water at all makes me feel cold, wet through and tired for the rest of the day. i guess unsympathetic teachers just pushed me to fear rather than un-ease where swimming is concerned.

p.e teachers are a right pain!!
They force you to do p.e unless it's something really bad like a broken leg
once i had a note cuz i had real bad period pains
and i know excercise is supposed to help but i felt ill aswell
but she didn't accept it
and my mom had to come in complain because i was running and the teacher was pushing me to do it and i was sick everywhere :/

You're lucky like me then Stu, have a job to get me out of the water once I'm in it. Being thrown in when I was younger actually helped me

I guess you could say my teacher had a phobia of small kids shocking her by just looking at the water with excitement and diving in rather than waiting for her or using the steps lol
