Personally I'm taking Zoloft but I'm curious about the other medication. I know there are a lot to choose from sort of speak. But which one is better and has less side effects?

I'm taking Zoloft and Clonazepam.

Do you think Prozac is better than Zoloft?

I mean for someone who has OCD and depression/anxiety.

I take Zoloft too. I used to take Prozac, and I've also tried most other anti-depressants. The thing is though, these medications effect everyone differently. So it's not possible to say which one works "best" or which one has the least side effects, because this will vary from person to person.

I have depression and anxiety/panic disorder. I find the Zoloft quite helpful with managing my panic attacks (and I don't really have any side effects from it). Personally, I found Prozac too stimulating and it tended to make me feel more agitated. But I know of people who take Prozac for anxiety and who have no problems with it. I also know of people who have had bad experiences with Zoloft. So, it really is kind of a trial and error process.

Yeah you're right, it affects people differently, but I wanted to know in case Prozac was more effective or quick. I guess they don't make miracles!! :laugh:

I'm not sure if we really know if Zoloft or Prozac is better because they are both similar medications and the drug companies don't conduct research that may make them look bad. From what I've seen, it seems that there may be a slight - very slight - advantage of Zoloft over Prozac, for depression, at least. But beyond that, I don't know.
