The question is how confused1

I'd be a dog, a monkey or a bear, or anything but that vain animal, who is so proud of being rational.

How to go about meeting new people has had me perplexed for months and months and months, and I guess it'll continue having me perplexed for quite some time...

Sometimes I think moving away might help - I feel as if the people I live around now have gotten too used to me being a 'loner'.

Yeah I know what you mean confused1
Then again, moving away would probably not solve all that much. I don't know about you, but I'd probably just end up being a loner in a new location

Mmmhm, people that go to those meetings are just different than me. I wouldn't do very well with them stongue

So that's out of the question! shappy

You should go to one though! yeah! smad

Are you sure? Blob5 I mean, the meetings won't be full of people just like those off the forum, etc. I'm sure there would be some people that seem less outgoing, etc.

I've been trying to find one for ages. ssleepy I can't find anything.

I don't know confused1
It's a support group for anxiety problems anyway, and for all ages. So...maybe just a few of them would actually suffer from social problems. And out of those few, maybe just one or two would be around my own age. I doubt I'd get along with them

I think I'd be up to meeting a person 1-1 after chatting with them for a while, and seeing that we have similar problems. I'm desperate enough to give that a try even if it scares me to death. But a support group...I don't think it's for me confused1

Are you sure Cowie? There has to be something in the Toronto area? Maybe it's a bit of a trip, but it's not as if you'd need to go everyday. So maybe you could find one in Toronto? sconfused

Yeah, I guess there'd be quite a 'variety' of ages and problems there. sconfused Even if you weren't to make friends though, I think something like that's good. Just being able to go somewhere, be social, and talk/listen to people who understand.

Well, that's good. Blob5 Have you gotten an answer back from that girl you emailed?

The only thing I found locally was an adults depression group. Blob5 I'm not really depressed, so it wouldn't be fair for me to go to that.

As for Toronto or any of the other cities, that's too far to travel for something like that. stongue I doubt anyone would drive me.
