Hi All, I'm a sufferer of agoraphobia. i became agoraphobic and suffer from a panic disorder in 2000 got over it with the help of counsellors and then became agoraphobic again this year. So I was wondering what advice you have been given to beat this horrible thing. I think the best advice I got from a counsellor was "no matter how panicky or how anxious you feel just wait it out. The panic peaks and then has to come down it can't last forever even if it feels like it just sit in the moment." I think that's what got me through the first time I also use to keep repeating this phrase out loud "I'm not going to let this beat me, I can do this." I'm hoping it works for me the second time around as well when I get over the other phobia that's another topic.
Destiny.
