I stumbled on this today. I don't normally watch TV much but my husband had it on and I saw something about exposure and then wanted to check it out. The therapists were over at the clients houses which I found interesting. Since I have such a big positive transference thing going for my therapist I must say I am truly happy he does not come over to my house! All in all though I thought the show was okay. I could definitely relate to the SUDS levels going up and then down when they were doing their exposure. Michele
Yeah, it's kind of scary how the therapists go all out like that, eh? They really get involved in the whole process, rather than just telling the patient which steps to take. Which, is obviously a good thing, but it'd be scary at the same time.

I am really enjoying this show. It's not triggering for me but instead comforting. This show is really good in that it shows the realities of OCD, esp. how much anxiety it produces. I hope people gain a true perception of OCD, not just what the media makes it out to be.
I hope to continue watching. I won't be able to watch next week's episode, but I hope I can catch it on the A&E website.
OCD's just become a 'fad' of sorts.

I once had someone trying to tell me that they had 'OCD' towards a celebrity. If looks could kill...
Anyways, they showed the premier episode again tonight and I decided to watch it (I missed it the first time around). I like what the guy said about people with OCD being lonely. That there's not enough room in our little boxes to let anyone else in. I guess that pertains to a lot of the issues discussed on this forum. Anyways, it just sort of hit home. Got me thinking a bit, which is never a good thing.
Good episode though.
